Vesikko is a high-level recreation center for the entire family. Vesikko offers a children's pool, wave machine, diving pool, training pool, water massage jets, baby swimming, water slide, four saunas (traditional and Turkish saunas separately for both men and women), gym, aerobics and a café.

Vesikko can be found in the immediate proximity of the city centre, in the Mehtimäki Sports Complex, next to Joensuu Arena and the University of Eastern Finland (Joensuu campus). Vesikko functions as a swimming pool for competition swimmers as well as a pool for people wishing to keep fit. Adjacent to Vesikko you can find ski and jogging trails, Mehtimäki Ice hall and the central sports field.
