Departure points for local buses

Market Square and railway station are central locations for bus stops in Joensuu. Airport bus and local buses to different parts of town leave from stops around the Market Square. More detailed information about stops and routes is available on the webpages of the service provider.
 

Railway and Coach Stations

The Joensuu railway and coach stations (long lines) are located next to one another, making transfers between bus and train simple. The railway station is about 600 metres from the Market Square. Its address is Itäranta 12, the address of the coach station is Asemankaari 9.

Joensuu railway station has a ticket vending machine. Waiting facilities for the passengers are on the ground floor of coach station, at Asemankaari 9.

Airport

Joensuu Airport is situated about 11 kilometres from the city centre. Airport bus (number 6) operates between the city centre and the airport. The route and the stops are marked on the map found below. Route and stops are also available on Digitransit route search.
