Joensuu is inviting its residents to design their dream playgrounds in Eno and Noljakka

Next summer, the city of Joensuu will renovate the Niska playground in Eno and the Kervilänkuja playground in Noljakka.

Joensuu is inviting all residents of the area to participate in the design of the playground. Residents can use an online poll to vote on the future theme of the parks, the colour scheme, play equipment and park furniture.

Replies to the survey are sought from all park users. Not only children, but parents, grandparents and family day care workers also spend time in the parks. The wishes and needs of the other park users will also be taken into account when designing the playgrounds.

In addition to an open online survey, there are functional workshops for children in the surrounding areas, where the children can plan the playground of their dreams. The final park plans will be completed based on the results of the survey and workshops in the end of the year. Construction of the parks will begin next spring and will be completed in the fall of 2021.
