Some restrictions in the youth services of the City put into place because of the coronavirus situation have been removed, and it has been possible to arrange summer activities for children and young people. The traditional KesäHelppi publication was not released and the camps and trips arranged by the City were cancelled. Instead, holiday club activities are arranged throughout the Joensuu region. In addition, various organisations provide an extensive selection of different activities.

The youth services of the City of Joensuu have listed the activities provided by different organisations in one location. The list cannot include all activities provided, but it has a lot of different activities for the youngest family members for this summer. The calendar is updated regularly, so you should check it periodically during the summer.

No animals, café services or summer theater services are available at the Sinkkola petting zoo this summer. The area can be visited for recreation, however. Youth centres will reopen this autumn, depending on the pandemic situation
