The ENO Programme invites you to an exciting event. A new school year will be opened 22nd of September 2008 in a special way. We will plant trees at midday, in every corner of the world. The first trees will be planted at midday in Oceania. Following the Sun, new trees will be put to earth in Asia, Europe and Africa . Finally this chain of trees will reach Americas . This event has become a success. Last year over 1 000 schools in 102 countries planted tens of thousands of trees during and around the day.
Tree planting is important for us. Firstly, it reminds us of the nature and the importance of environmental protection. Secondly, it is a symbol for the international co-operation. And, above all, 21 st of September is known as the international day for peace. Children and youth bring the message of peace.
When you take part to this event you will take part to ENO Tree Planting Campaign at the same time. Our target is to plant one milliion trees by the end of year 2008. Your tree/s will be a part of this number!
This is a public event. We invite all the schools/clubs or individual children/young people to join our activity. Make a concrete action for environment.
