Blogs as diaries in the ENO Programme

A weblog, which is usually shortened to blog, is a type of website where entries are made (such as in a journal or diary ), displayed in a reverse chronological order .

Blogs often provide commentary or news and information on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries . A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network of social media .

We have used manual diaries in the ENO Prorgamme. This is an alternative way to put up your work and experiences during the ENO schoolyear 2006-07.

1. CREATE YOUR BLOG

In ENO we have chosen to use blogger. To make your own ENO Diary blog please go here and follow the instructions.
http://beta.blogger.com

When creating your blog make a short and easy name available. For instance in the url you could choose your first name and schoolid , like joonastFI07(.blogspot.com.)Teachers: please write down or save the urls of your students so you can follow their learning.

2. THE CONTENTS OF ENO DIARY BLOG

In the ENO Diary blog you can collect information about our activities, add images and links etc.

In the beginning of theme follow the contents and goals of theme. Add them to your diary, go to ENO site, copy and paste them (or make a link) to your diary. Answer to these questions in the beginning:

In order to follow you participation please answer to the following questions every week in your blog

  • I did this week:
  • What tools did I use?
  • What did I learn this week?
  • Things I didn’t understand:
  • This thing I remember

3. A SAMPLE ENO DIARY BLOG

We have created a sample for your ENO Diary Blog here:

4. THE RESPONSIBILITY OF CONTENTS

As these diaries are connected to ENO we would like them to be relevant when it comes to contents. ENO programme is not responsible for these blogs but learners. Teachers should follow these diaries online and comment them.
