ITEpäisyys - Contemporary Finnish Folk Art, October 5 - January 28

ITE is the folk art of our times, the acronym ITE comes from the Finnish words ‘itse tehty elämä', i.e. self-made life. ITE artists work outside the art world and display their work in their everyday environments. The ITEpäisyys exhibition portrays different sides of Finnish obstinacy; it introduces the audience to examples of extraordinary imagination and perseverance. In the exhibition, folk art, outsider art and contemporary art are exhibited side by side.
