COST E30 Management Committee, Working Groups and Sub-Groups meetings

Practical information

The meetings are organised by Università degli Studi della Tuscia - Viterbo. They will be held back-to-back with the INNOFORCE meeting, taking place from 11-12 January 2006. Registration

Make the registration with the registration form. Please send it to Saija Miina by 16th December 2005 by email (saija.miina@joensuu.fi) or fax (+358 13 251 4454). Please make the hotel room reservation directly to the hotel (see below).

Airport connection

Participants are requested to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Arriving at Fiumicino Airport/Rome ( http://www.adr.it/ ), the organisers recommend taking the train from the airport railway station to Viterbo:

• Take train to Roma-Trastevere (travel time 22 minutes, departure every 15 minutes - take only trains going to Orte or Fara Sabina, not to Roma-Termini)
• In Roma-Trastevere take the train to Viterbo-Porta Fiorentina or Viterbo-Porta Romana (travel time 1h30 to 1h45, departure every 30 minutes: 17:13, 17:43, 18:13…).

Timetables of the trains can be seen on http://www.trenitalia.com/ From Roma Trastevere (Da dove vuoi partire?) to Viterbo Porta Romana (Dove vuoi arrivare?). The closest railway station to the hotels listed below is Viterbo, Porta Fiorentina. However, if your train ends its run at Porta Romana, outside the station on the right there is a free shuttle (yellow bus, 'Navetta') to Porta Fiorentina leaving at '22 of each hour.

Participation fee

The participation fee is 45€. Please have exact change (cash, EUR) for the payment in the registration. No credit cards or traveller cheques will be accepted. This fee covers the lunch packet during the scientific visit and the joint dinner on Saturday. The coffee breaks and the transport of the scientific visit is offered by the local organiser and COST.

Accommodation and lunches are on participants’ own cost. The COST reimbursement rules are described below.

Note! The books of the country studies are published. Laszlo Jager will bring the books to the meeting and you can get your copies there. Please take exact change 16 € / volumes I&II with you (cash, no credit card or traveller cheques).

Reimbursement of costs (Valid only for the COST E30 participants)

The COST Office will reimburse the costs of active participants of the subgroups and one management committee member per country, altogether maximum 5 persons per country. All other participants have to pay their costs themselves. The reimbursement rules are available on http://www.cost.esf.org/index.php?id=38#COST-ESF_Reimbursement . Please read the instructions carefully. The reimbursement forms to be used will be sent to the participants by email. The filled reimbursement forms will be collected in the meeting.

The budget allocated to the Action is very tight, so the participants are strongly recommended to use discount flight tickets.

The additional accommodation or meals that are needed for the participation in the INNOFORCE meeting or personal visit are at the participants’ own cost.

Accommodation

The organiser has negotiated special prices for accommodation. Please find below a list of hotels, which are close to the railway station Viterbo-Porta Fiorentina: If you ask for hotel fees or make bookings, please indicate the “UNIVERSITY OF TUSCIA SEMINAR” for special rates.
